Seasons Change

There is a common belief that sometimes in life the best way to learn is through experience, and I would say that I agree with that idea whole-heartedly. Most of the changes I have ever made in my life, be that to do with work or  relationships, have been prompted by my gut instinct telling me something doesn’t feel right, or in this case that something could be a lot better.

I began That Montgomery Girl last year as another string to my journalistic bow, thinking that it would act as a portfolio for my work and just be a creative outlet that no-one would ever really read. Since then however, things have changed. Blogging has opened up so many doors for me that I never thought possible and it has also opened up my mind to the idea that this little space of the internet could be something more…

So with that in mind, I have a piece of bad news and a piece of good news. Bad news is that That Montgomery Girl is going to be out of action for about a week but the good news is that once it is back up and running it will have a new design, new content and a new outlook. I am going to be saying goodbye to WordPress (it’s nothing personal honestly), unorganised content and a messy design, and hello to Blogger, an editorial calendar and a fancy new theme.

I guess I will see you all on the other side…
